In his hotel room all tired from his search, he gets a letter on it read 'Invitation to the Johnson's masquerade ball'. H e wonders why he got an invitation.
He gets inside the ball and is shocked at the amount of masks and costumes who are already inside, he takes a sip from his champagne glass and looks ahead and sees a lady in the same dress his mystery lady was supposed to put on, he tails her, on approaching her she removes her mask and asks him to kiss her, seeing she was drunk and not his mystery girl he refuses and walks away.
He soon realizes that a percentage of the girls where putting on the same costume as his mystery girl.
He approaches each and everyone of them, he almost got slapped by one until he looks up and sees one he had not approached, fingers crossed he approaches her, she sees him and weeps, he was too
late she was engaged to be married soon.
He tells her he had been searching for her, she replies not hard enough. He never got to tell her he liked her and that was the end of his fairy-tale.
His story ends here, the next we got to hear from him was him happily married and had two kids with his mystery lady.
